The Commune of Wyszków, thanks to the implementation of the project entitled "Mitigating climate change and adapting to its effects in Wyszków" plans to replace street lighting with energy-efficient LED lighting. This is a huge undertaking which aims to replace nearly 3,000 street lamps with high energy consumption for modern LED devices, which on the one side will significantly improve the efficiency of electricity use and on the other side will have a positive impact on safety - road lighting.
What is energy efficiency? It is primarily the ratio of the effects of equipment operation to the amount of energy consumed. The idea is to use as little energy as possible to get the greatest possible effect. Effective use of energy is in practice to lead to a reduction in the amount of energy used to ensure the optimal functioning of a device, building or city. Energy efficiency and daily energy saving at all levels of the organization of social life (home, school, work, city, State) is absolutely crucial for mitigating climate change. It will contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions, which is a greenhouse gas which in turn may have an impact on limiting the temperature increase on the Earth.
